A negative kaon (K-) strikes a proton producing a neutral kaon (K0) and a negative pion (p-).

The neutral kaon decays  into a  pair of negative and positive pions.

The bubble chamber's magnetic field curls the negative particles to the right, the positive ones to the left.

The tight spirals are electrons knocked out of atoms in the bubble chamber liquid.
