CHAMONIX

Chamonix is at the heart of Western Europe in the French Alps, very close to Mt. Dolent where the French, Swiss and Italian boarders meet. This charming town is 1042m (3,396 ft) above sea level at the foot of the Mt-Blanc, the highest peak in Europe at 4807m (15,770 ft). The resident population is about 10,000 but can swell to over 100,000 in high season.

 

This town is a world capital for outdoor activities: mountaineering, hiking, climbing, biking paragliding as well as many winter activities.
