Weigh’ an anti-electron (positron)!

The highlighted positron is part of an pair. After half a turn, it begins to turn in the opposite direction in the magnetic field, thus appearing to have changed into a negative particle.

What has happened is that the positron has collided head-on with an effectively stationary atomic electron and transferred all its momentum to that electron . This tells us that the mass of the positron is equal to that of the electron .
