I'm graduate in Science (physics, biology, chemistry).
I'm working for a science museum, the "hall of science" in Liege. My job
consists on doing guided tour for various groups (students from 9 to 21
years old in different languages (French, Dutch, English). I have to present interactive experiments about different subjects (electrostatics, liquid nitrogen, energy, pressure, optics, radioactivity, heredity, polymers, mechanics, waves).
I have the opportunity to create exhibitions (experiments, explanations,
projection, ...). I've already realised "sound and optics"; "symmetry" and
the next one "about the universe"; "physics of the bike"; "women ans
science". When a school visit us, the teacher may choose two or three themes and we're doing experiments that (s)he can't realise at school. We just show that it's possible to do something interesting with a little team (11 persons !) and with a small budget. The museum grows slowly (more or less 30.000 visitors).

I'm also busy with the website : www.ulg.ac.be/masc

WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?
--------------
The CERN is the best place in Europe to learn about high-energy physics.
I need to improve my knowledge and to compare my experience with other
teachers from other countries.

HOW WILL I DISSEMINATE KNOWLEDGE?
--------------
My job consist in doing educational activities for students. We present
old and new scientific experiments.
We plan to make a room about new technology and research.I can disseminate
the informations during exhibitions or during training courses.

HOW DID I LEARN ABOUT HST?
--------------
My director, Martine JAMINON (University of Liege)
