CURRENT APPOINTMENT: I work as a teacher of physics for high school,
Department of Education, and Physics Institute.

EDUCATION
- Technical University of Szczecin (Stettin), Poland – laser technology,
optics, holography, optoelectronics, liquid crystals research, electrical
metrology, control theory - M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees (with distinction)
in signal processing and dynamic measurements - 1994.
- Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan,
Poland - general Physics, solid state physics - dielectric, acoustooptic,

Knowledge for High Schools in West Pomerania Region.

AWARDS/HONORS:
I was awarded a prestigious Special Prize of the Secretary of Education
of Polish Academy of Science in Automation and Technical Cybernetics,
Award by German Academic Exchange Service DAAD
In 2000, 2001, 2002 I was distinguished significant prize for organizing
the Competitions of Physical Knowledge for High Schools in West Pomerania
Region (by the biggest newspaper in Poland - "Gazeta Wyborcza" and
Department of Education).

WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?

I expect the following benefits:
- exchange of experience among teachers of different nationality,
- direct access to the best knowledge,
- links with European Schools,
- taking part in this programme can stimulate my efforts for
popularization of Physics within and beyond the classroom.

My participation in this programme will make possible to modify the
lecturers of physics in high school. I think I will collect a lot of
very interesting materials which can arouse interest of my students for
particle physics area.

HOW WILL I DISSEMINATE KNOWLEDGE?
--------------
I plan to use four ways:
1) I have prepared some additional lectures of physics for High Schools
in Szczecin city for the last years. I intend to extend my teaching of
physics for particle physics problems. I will use WEB pages of Polish
Physical Society to put some information acquired during "High School
Teacher Program" in CERN.

2) I want to pass on all materials collected during my stay in CERN for
physics' teachers using The Department of Education in West Pomerania
Region. I am going to organize some extra meetings for high school
physics' teachers.

3) I am going to popularize the physics of particle during the Physics
Knowledge Competitions, called Wolszczan 2004. I have been responsible
for the Physics Knowledge Competitions of High Schools in West Pomerania
Region, since 2000.

4) Using the experiences from CERN program I would like to prepare series
of lectures for High School students using very popular newspaper in
Poland called "Gazeta Wyborcza".

I learned about this programme on web pages of the POLISH PHYSICAL
SOCIETY.
