I'm one of the participants in HST2005 programme at CERN. My name is Teresa Lobato and I live in a place, near Lisbon, called Oeiras, Portugal.
I have a licentiate's degree in Physical Chemistry (University of Coimbra) and a master's degree in Chemical Engineering (Technical University of Lisbon).

I've been teaching physics and chemistry at high schools, almost all my life (around 25 years). My pupils are, generally, aged from 15 to 18. As the courses I've been teaching touch very different subjects, both from chemistry and physics, I could never turned out to be a real expert in any one of them.
Trying to find answers for numerous questions professional life have been raising I'm doing now a doctorate in Science Education in a Spanish University (Burgos). I've already done all compulsorily parts and trying to do doctoral thesis. The theme I chose is how to teach fundamental laws of quantum mechanics to high school students. It hasn't been easy, so far, to collect data for thesis.

The main reason I want to attend HST2005 programme is to deal with experimental work and learn about modern physics. I also want to change knowledge with colleagues from others countries, with other experiences.
