My name is Rob Ouwerkerk and I live in Haarlem, quite near my school,the Stedelijk Gymnasium Haarlem. This is one of the oldest schools in our country, founded in 1389.
I am a teacher in Physics, Mathematics and General Sciences. I am also working as a developer of educational software, scientific journalist, teacher of teachers,involved in an educational project on high energy Physics and involved in the curriculum developments in our country.
At the moment I am a memeber of the Dutch Steering Committe for Science On Stage 2005, after being participant of the Physics On Stage conference in 2003.
My favorite passtimes are photography, reading, cooking, cycling and speedskating.
