I am 54 years old and am living in Zurich, another beautiful city on a lake in the German speaking part of Switzerland.
I studied physics at the Swiss Federal School of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and spent some years there as a scientific fellow, during which time I was also involved in student teaching.
For almost 30 years I have been teaching physics and mathematics at one of the state grammar schools in Zurich. I am responsible for the physics curriculum of our school and I am also involved in the Immersion Project of teaching physics in English to German speaking students. In 2004 I introduced computer based laboratory experiments at our school. I regularly attend courses and keep in touch with many teacher colleagues at other Swiss schools. I am always full of new ideas and keen on pursuing them. There are very few things that do not interest me!
In my spare time, if there is any at all, I like to go sailing on the lake of Zurich or even in Greek or British waters during my vacation. Every year I give one or two courses on sailing at our club.
