I live in a western suburb of Amsterdam with my lovely wife and two
sons.

I (usualy) like to teach physics, math and science for public
understanding in the higher grades. The last years I participate in the
Hisparc Cosmic Ray project, in which highschool students can engage in
scientific research (http://www.hisparc.nl. There have to be more
activities for the students in the schools to promote scientific
careers.

In the years between my study and teaching in physics, I was a student
in political science, my second drive.

In my (little) sparetime I like to walk, discuss politics, do some
gardening and be the coach of the inlinehockey team of my son.

HST is a great opportunity to meet fellow teachers in an inspiring high
tech environment and exchange good practices.
