My name is François PASSEBON. I’ve been teaching Physics and Chemistry in a French High School at Le Mans for 10 years. Le Mans is well known for its legendary race “Les 24 heures du Mans”; the 2006 edition is taking place just now. I attended the final qualifying session yesterday, as I do each year.

Here is the website of my high school : http://lemans-sud.paysdelaloire.e-lyco.fr/accueil/ and there, the website I created for my students : http://perso.orange.fr/fpassebon/ On this site, in addition to some exercises and flash animations, I relate the lecture I organized at the beginning of 2006 in my school, about supraconductivity.

Before being a teacher, I’d worked at France Telecom as a project manager. I’ve indeed an engineer degree.

I’m very interested in particle physics and cosmology, the two being related. A few years ago, I visited the Microcosm, at CERN, but I didn’t have time to visit the future LHC installations; it will be done soon I guess.

I also like music (I play a little the piano), and trekking in the mountains, especially in the French Alps, where I spend two weeks each year with my wife. I’m keen on making flash animations for my students, or simply as a hobby.
