My name is Jozef Szmolka and I live in Sabinov which is a small town in the east of Slovakia.
I teach Physics and Mathematics at a grammar school, Gymnasium of Anton Pridavok in Sabinov. There are about 500 students and 35 teachers. My pupils are aged 15-19.
I have been a physics teacher at a grammar school for 18 years and I still feel the urge to look for new, more suitable aids for teaching. I regularly attend complementary courses for physics teachers run by Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice, Faculty of Physics and also I take part in distance learning courses which are focussed on the latest trends in teaching.
I like music, sports (cycling, volleyball), hiking in the High Tatras and Slovak Paradise.
