I’ m Leo. I am a Sagittarius, so when I see my goal, I go straight
on and fast. But now my body is not so young any more, so I keep it a
little bit more quiet, although my mind is still young and open.
I ‘m divorced and have three children I like very much, living
on their own,
I live in a small village between Antwerp and Brussels in the Flemish
part of Belgium. I teach physics at a famous college near Antwerp, the
Onze-Lieve-Vroouw-van-Lourdecollege (sorry… did not choose the
name, only the school) what means the college of the holy Mary of Lourdes
(but I’ am not so catholic anymore, but keep it quiet..) My students
are 16-18 years and most of them get good results on high schools and
universities.
The webaddress of my school is www.olve.be, but it is in Dutch…
I’m also an author of schoolbooks by different editors.
Last month I also wrote an article on a misconception in Work and Power,
I should like to publish in The physics Teacher, and I hope to find someone
of the HST2006-group to help me to translate it in good English.
I’m also involved in teachers training programs, especially implementation
of ICT in science and I gave some seminars. Nowadays in a lot of my experiments
I use the graphic Calculator TI84-Plus to measure and analyze, but I
also use the Pasco-system and Labsoft, a Belgian system, maybe not known
elsewhere.
I like to be active in nature, and I had also a small outdoor organization
for recreational (walking, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, caving …)
and educational (teambuilding, dynamic of the group…) purpose,
called “Inside & Outdoor”, but as I said, I keep it a
little bit more quiet now.
I hope we will have fine days ….
