My name is Ambrose Yaga from South Africa , Cape Town. I studied at the University of Cape Town where I qualified as a Maths and science teacher for High schoolin 1990. I went to teach for 10 full years before joining iThemba Labs late in 2001. iThemba Labs is a nuclear physics national facility in South Africa and is also a training institution for aspiring scientists.I am at the education desk and work a lot with local schools in showcasing the lab as one way of motivating young learners to take the route of science study in life. I go around doing science workshops for both primary and high schools and at times for groups of teachers. I am also doing tours of the our facility with community groups that often visit the lab and in that way giving local people opportunity of interacting with the scientists.We also very much take part on national science and technology promoting events around South Africa on a regular basis.
