I
‘m Christiane SELLIER and I'm teaching physics and chemistry at lycée
DURZY in MONTARGIS, one hundred kilometers south of
PARIS, France. My students are
16-20 years old, their majors are Science and also Electronics. They
prepare in three years the BACCALAUREAT.

I am involved in my high school to prepare students for the national Physics

am also involved in the Association of teachers of physics and chemistry,
its acronym is UdPPC 3000
teachers in lower and upper secondary schools or in Teacher

I organise with the regional boards
meetings, training periods, workshops, visits…, at a local level and
I will disseminate HST knowledge
by this way.

UdPPC publishes a journal called “Le BUP physique chimie”. Each monthly
issue totals around 200 pages with articles about science, didactic of
physics and chemistry, debates and hints on new curricula, and information
about the association itself. The articles are freely submitted by teachers
and researchers to an editorial staff and you can upload any article on the
website written before the year 2000.

I am sure the HST program will help me to build up a new project with my
students. I plan to work next school year on the clouds chamber in
partnership with research officers in charge of the synchrotron SOLEIL in
ORSAY and plan a visit at CERN with my students.

Otherwise, I practice yoga, mountain hiking or riding my bicycles.
