My name is Ana Carballares. I am a teacher at the High School "IES Rodríguez Fabrés" in Salamanca, a beautiful city 200Km west far from Madrid (Spain). I teach Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The main reason why I became a teacher is because my loved grandfather Florencio, when I was a teenager, advised me to do it. I chose Physics because I had an excellent teacher in my last term at High School when I was a student.

The HST2008 program gave me the opportunity not only to learn more about Particle Physics but also to meet scientist and other teachers as me from all around the world. Now I feel even prouder of teaching Sciences and I hope to share my renew enthusiasm with my students.
