Evelyn Restivo is from Maypearl,
Texas
and teaches chemistry and physics at the Global
High School in Waxahachie, Texas.
She is an adjunct instructor teaching Integrated Science for
Pre-Service teachers for Texas A&M University-Commerce and Physics for
Navarro College in
Midlothian,
Texas.
Evelyn is a Physics Teaching Resource Agent for the American
Association of Physics Teachers and presents talks and workshops on a
regular basis at the Texas Section Meetings and the Conference for the
Advancement of Science Teaching. She
is an active member of the Texas Section of the American Association of
Physics Teachers, the American Association of Physics Teachers, the State
Teachers Association of Texas, the Association of Chemistry Teachers of
Texas, the National Science Teachers Association and is a QuarkNet Fellow
through Southern Methodist University and Fermilab.
Evelyn appreciated the opportunity to attend the High School Teachers
Program at CERN and said it was the most amazing three weeks of her career.
