My name is Juliana Mitrevski.  I teach at Methodist Ladies' School in Perth, Western Australia.  I have been teaching for 5 years and have had the wonderful opportunity to teach at a school that has pupils that strive for excellence in Science.  I teach Physics to 15, 16 and 17 year old students and as the Head of Physics I create the programs for these senior school students.  This year I have also taught Physics and Chemistry to 13 year olds which was really exciting to have such young and enthusiastic minds to teach.  This year I have been involved with the selection and training of students to participate in the Physics Olympiad at my school and I have also been trying to complete a Masters in Science Education, which I began in 2007.

I am very excited to be the first Australian to join the HST Program at CERN.  I am looking forward to sharing new experiences and learning how other schools incorporate Science and Physics into their programs.  I will also be sharing my experiences with my students and others through my blog, and am hoping that my enthusiasm for Science will help to encourage more of my students to challenge themselves and discover the great world of Physics.
