I'm a teacher at Sierra la Calera High School (Santa Marta, Badajoz, Spain). I started teaching in 1990 until now with a break of 8 years (1993 to 2001) while I was working in research. My school started a Comenius project this year (I'm the coordinator.) together with a school in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I have a degree in Electronic Physics from the University of Seville (Seville University, Spain). I was working for five years in imaging during my PhD in the Medical School of Seville University and three years, as a doctoral position, in optical tweezers and nanotechnology in the School of Applied and Engineering Physics of Cornell University (Ithaca, NY, USA). Particle Physics is not my strongest point and I welcome the opportunity CERN provides to follow a three week summer course. I hope it will give me a stronger background in particle physics and I hope to come home with many new ideas to share with students and colleagues.
