My name is Ronnie. I am a high school teacher in Physical Sciences. I joined the teaching fraternity in 1983. Presently, I am seconded to the Metropole South Education District (Cape Town, South Africa) as a Curriculum/Subject Advisor. My main responsibility in this regard is to monitor subject policy implementation and provide support in the subject area. Support often assumes the form of school visits, moderation of assessment work, content training workshops, science subject forum meetings and sometimes class teaching (mostly when schools are not able to find a suitable substitute).

     I also provide academic support to grades 10, 11 and 12 learners through the South African Leadership Initiative (SALI) and the Go for Gold programmes. These programmes have a common objective in that they target potential for tertiary institutions and the construction industry respectively.

     My main aim is to inspire my colleagues and all students whom I interact with.
