My name is Laurent Millet. I teach Physics and Chemistry at Victor Hugo High School in Avignon. If you have learned French at school you probably know this city and its famous (but boring) song “Sur le pont d’Avignon on y danse, on y danse …”. Anyway, the countryside is beautiful and I won’t talk about the wonderful color of the light (or just if you ask me to).

     My students are 15 to 20 years old.  

     I have applied to the HST programme to improve my knowledge in particle physics and to share the experience with the other participants. I hope to come back home with many new teaching ideas. Meeting physics teachers from many countries across Europe and beyond is very exciting. 

     When I don’t work, most of the time I practice sports (mountain biking is my favorite, hiking, running, tennis, squash...).
