I teach physics and chemistry at GSM, a comprehensive
school in Hamburg. My school does special work for the integration of children from other
countries (i.g. refugees). So around 50% of the pupils are from outside Germany. This is a
very interesting and challenging environment. The school has a little more than 1000
students in grades 5 - 13. The excellent equipment especially for natural sciences is
hardly found in other places. In addition to my subjects I teach related subjects if
required. I am working at the project of establishing a Natural Science Center for Hamburg
schools in our school building. For this I am in contact with DESY (Hamburg) and other
research centers like the "Frauenhofer Institut" (Itzehoe). |
